Church of England sinks to its lowest depths to date. Beyond parody! A news story followed by Alan Franklin’s comment.

The Berean Call, which provides news items to our Christian news spot, has reported on the latest abomination to come from what passes for “The Church of England.” It’s not so much a church as a national disgrace as there is now a proposition before the General Synod – the ruling body of the church – to rebaptise those who are foolish enough to think you can “change sex” – a biological impossibility. Baptism is also for true believers who have repented, of course - so that rules out "transgenders."

Here’s the full sorry saga:  CHURCH OF ENGLAND CONSIDERING CEREMONY TO RE-BAPTIZE "TRANSGENDERS" IN THEIR NEW NAME [Excerpts]

The Church of England is considering adding a ceremony to its services for "transgender" persons who seek to be re-baptized in their new gender identity and under their new name.

According to reports, Chris Newlands, the vicar of Lancaster Priory, recently proposed the addition to the General Synod after being approached by a girl who identifies as a boy who wished to be baptized again under her male name.

"I said, 'Once you've been baptized, you're baptized,'" Newlands recalled to the Guardian. "[But] she said, ' I was baptized as a girl, under a different name.'"

"I said, 'Let me have a think about it.' So we did, and then we created a service, which was an affirmation of baptismal vows where we could introduce him to God with his new name and his new identity," he said.

Newlands soon submitted a motion for the issue to be considered by the denomination as a whole.

"That this Synod, recognizing the need for transgender people to be welcomed and affirmed in their parish church, call on the House of Bishops to consider whether some nationally commended liturgical materials might be prepared to mark a person's gender transition," it read.

The motion was approved by the parochial church council, the Deanery Synod and the Blackburn Diocese, and is set to next be debated by the General Synod.

[TBC: "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female" (Matthew 19:4).]

Alan Franklin comments: This would be surprising had the church involved – the one with all the half empty buildings scattered across the landscape of the United Kingdom- not already been far down the road of promoting perversion by appointing homosexual vicars.

Warning to true Christians: Don’t even think of attending one of what passes for a Christian service in one of these centres of unscriptural teaching, increasingly delivered by “women priests” – something else expressly forbidden in the Bible.

These are the end of the End Times so we know the Lord is coming back soon. The world is getting darker daily. However there are still pinpoints of light where the truth is still valued and taught: the whole truth from the whole Bible, God's handbook for life. One of these is our home church, Tongham Christian Fellowship in Poyle Road, Tongham Surrey - right on the Hampshire border near Aldershot.

Children get sound instruction from first class teachers, including Pat, and the Sunday messages are always good. Come along and meet us. Guidance: We do not meet in the large stone building with stained glass windows on the corner of the road. Ours is the small old building just up the road.
