Peter Brandon has gone home!

Peter Brandon has gone home!  He is now with the Lord Jesus Christ and we do not doubt that his entrance into the heavenly realm was glorious.

His death was announced at our church yesterday.  Peter was loved by our church and we know that we will see him again.

What a character he was!  What exciting stories he told of tent missions and the often funny things God did in his own family.  One of my favorite stories was about the man blown up into the sky holding to a tent pole during a wind storm.

But my very favorite story was the deathbed conversion of his own father, a pantheist who beliieved God was in everything - until he lay dying.  You can read the account of it here:

Dear believers, the apostle Peter tells us in his second letter that we can make our entrance into heaven 'abundant' (2 Peter 1:11).  Peter Brandon served God all his life.  His entrance must have been stupendous!  I can just imagine angels, by the million, watching and waiting, trumpets at the ready,  saints from all of history waiting at the open gate, sitting on the walls, voices ready to shout a welcome.  And there in the midst...the Savior, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, arms open to hug His servant and friend, Peter Brandon.

Dear reader, do you know Jesus?  Not just know about Him, but actually KNOW Him?  You can know him and have a future and a hope just as Peter Brandon did, and which he now enjoys.

Jesus said you must be born again, be born spiritually, just as you were born physically.  Put your trust in Jesus who died to pay the penalty of all your sins.  Ask Him to forgive you and make you one of His people.  He will do it!  It does not matter how bad you are, what terrible things you may have done or said or thought.

He died to pay the terrible price of all those sins.  He will forgive you and He will make you one of His very own people.  If you do this, you will be born again and know Jesus as your Savior, and know His Father as your Father.
